About the Name

LeapFrog Promotions was initially founded back in 2005 as Kelly Printing & Promotions by Kelly Smith in San Antonio, TX.  Kelly decided to change the name to LeapFrog Promotions when he decided that he wanted to grow and add Licensed Distributors and help others to be successful in the $19.6 billion promotional products industry.  The name came to him when he saw a 3-D postcard sample that had a bright green tropical frog on it whose hand reached out like it was going to grab him…and the idea did grab him.  He immediately decided to rename his company LeapFrog Promotions with the mantra of helping businesses “LeapFrog their Competition”.

About our Founder

Kelly Smith graduated from Emporia State University with a BS in Business and Major in Marketing in 1996.  He then went on to work for Enterprise Rent-A-Car and held several management positions including heading up the marketing over 5 states for the sales division.  It was in this position that he realized that companies were paying too much for printing services, promotional products, and graphic design.  Kelly then decided to answer his calling and left corporate America and vowed to help businesses market themselves more effectively and less expensively.

Kelly is also a heavily sought after trainer and trains retail businesses and credit unions on Customer Service and Sales all over the United States.  The fact that he loves to train and mentor individuals was the main reason for creating Licensed Distributorships for LeapFrog Promotions so he could help people achieve their dreams of starting their own businesses.
